The Extended Salford Lung Study (“Ex-SLS”) Data Access Project
Thank you very much for signing up for this study. Your input is very important to us. When you signed up, you agreed to the terms of an Informed Consent Form. The terms of this have not changed, however, we wanted you to be aware of these three points below:
- The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) states that GSK must have a legal basis in law in order to process your sensitive personal data. The legal bases for processing your sensitive personal data, is legitimate interest and scientific research and for the collection of adverse events, public interest further detailed in Articles 6 and 9 of GDPR.
- If you have any complaints as to how your personal data has been handled please contact GSK’s Data Privacy Officer on EU.DPO@gsk.com quoting the ‘EX-SLS’ study. If you are not happy with their response or believe they are processing your data in a way that Is not right or lawful, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) (www.ico.org.uk or 0303 1231113).
- None of your personal information will be processed in order to undertake automated decision making or profiling.
